Thank you for your participation in the 4th World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB 2018), which was held at Montreal’s Palais des congrès from May 13 to 16, 2018.
The event was a great success and gathered more than 600 participants from over 50 countries, including scientists, managers, policy makers and leading specialists in the field.

The University of Auckland will be hosting the 5th World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB 2020), also the General Assembly of the International Association of Biological Oceanography (IABO), in Auckland, New Zealand on 13-16 December 2020.
Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city and gateway to the Pacific, and a vibrant and exciting city with lots to see and do. Auckland boasts a unique mix of magnificent natural features, including three stunning harbours which are home to an abundance of sea and marine life. Several Marine Reserves and popular diving locations are within a day’s journey. Scattered throughout the waters are picturesque islands rich with rare endemic birdlife and flora and fauna, easily accessed by short ferry trips.
